How Does Dental Insurance Work?
Dental insurance plans focus on preventing oral health problems from developing, keeping you from needing invasive, costly procedures. That’s why they cover a majority, if not all of the cost of routine treatments, like cavity fillings and checkups and cleanings. Each plan also features a few key components. These include an annual maximum, which is the capped-off allowance for treatment, a premium, which is the monthly or annual cost you pay for benefits, and deductibles, which are amounts set by your dental insurance provider that you’ll need to be prepared to pay at each of your appointments.
